Lee left his position as a Promethean engineer in 2012 after 10 years. Taking a big leap, Lee
studied for a Degree in Business Management and decided to set up alone. He identified two
areas which required specialist and dedicated AV skills, corporate events and education
enhancement technologies, both heavily under-catered for. Since the launch of AV2events
Lee and his team have gone from strength to strength, travelling the world for many corporate
clients in the edtech, experiential and corporate spaces supporting exhibitions and fixed
technology installations, many returning year on year to confidently use AV2events with as a
trusted installation delivery partner
“AV2events are relied upon to make the technology work on time, every time in challenging
environments under strict deadlines. If you can connect a 85kg+ ActivPanel on a pre-fab wall
at midnight using torches and intermittent wifi in a tight exhibition stand, then an installation
in a classroom the following week can be seen as an easier task, but they can both have their
own challenges and pain points. Our experience has definitely given us an advantage.
We’ve been asked a lot in the past if we also supply the equipment. Until now we have only
acted as installation partner in schools and shied away from becoming a reseller, but demand
has risen and we see a real niche for providing quality advice in relation to both specifying
and integrating edtech provisions, our experience can really benefit the way schools procure
classroom technologies and so we’ve created AV2education to offer a full wrap around
service.”
The same team has installed in over 2000 classrooms and navigated the ever changing
technology landscape related to technology updates and school policies over the years
providing direct services to Promethean as their dedicated on-site demonstration and
evaluation partner. If you’ve ever been involved in a full school role out of Promethean
equipment then you may have already come across Lee or one of his team during the buying
process.
